The White Eagles were ruthless on Saturday evening as new signing Brad Boardman scored his first goal for the club to open the scoring against the Tigers moments before the break. Despite the evenly matched first period, Bonnyrigg ran riot in the second period with Jamie McMaster doubling the lead before the Tigers were reduced to ten-men following the dismissal of Danial Cummins.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, the Tigers rallied to pull a goal back via Robbie Younis', though the brief glimpse of hope to salvage anything from the match vanished when Wade Oostendorp added a third for the home-side, before Vuko Tomasevic rounded out the 4-1 win with a late tap-in to condemn the Tigers to their second successive defeat.

At Belmore Sports Ground, Sydney Olympic and Sydney United re-kindled the contests of the old NSL in-front of a good turnout on Saturday evening. Despite the few clear cut goalscoring opportunities created by either side, there was plenty of action in the middle of the park. The home-side, following the leads of Phillip Makrys, Chris Triantis and Peter McPherson out of midfield, proved to be more than up to the challenge of meeting last season's Premiers, though a poorly timed tackle inside the penalty area late in the first-half on Elsid Barkhousir provided Luka Glavas with a penalty; the Reds' striker converting with ease to score what was the only goal of the match.

At WIN Stadium, the Stallions overturned a one goal half-time deficit to return to Bossley Park with maximum points in the 2-1 defeat of South Coast Wolves.

In a dominant first-half display, the Wolves hit the lead on 20' minutes when David Abel powerfully headed home past the Stallions James Chronopoulos. The Stallions regrouped after the break to draw level via Nahuel Arrarte's 57' minute penalty - the Stallions experienced midfielder returning to the club - before Nathan Jagelman drove the ball home from close-range, following some neat play by Erick Anabalon, to deny the Wolves a first-up home victory.

In Sunday evening action, Rockdale City Suns scored their first win of the season with a 'bragging rights' defeat of Bankstown City at the new Bicentennial Park South venue. Marino Musumeci was the match winner for the Suns, scoring the side's first ever goal at the new venue, in a match dubbed by Bankstown City player/coach, Peter Tsekenis, as the worst he has ever seen his side play.

The West Sydney Berries too scored their first win of the campaign with a fine first-half performance setting the platform against Sutherland Sharks. John Calleja's men scored on either side of half-time courtesy of Dimitri Zakilas and Sash Tirovski respectively, before Huseyin Jasli re-opened the match with a well-taken free-kick. Berries goalkeeper Hamish McLean was called upon to make a fine save in the dying minutes of the match to ensure the Berries secured all three-points.

At Cromer Park, Blacktown City FC joined Sydney United, Marconi Stallions and Bonnyrigg White Eagles as the only sides with a 100% record after two rounds. Despite missing two penalties (Tolgay Ozbey and Jordan Simpson), the visitors found the back of the net via their prolific goalscorer Ozbey. The former Premier League top scorer beat Brad Swancott twice in the final 12' minutes to seal an impressive 2-0 win for Aytek Genc's side; Manly United FC were again forced to play a part of the match with 10-men following the sending off of Luke Walker in the 63' minute.
