MANCHESTER United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has blasted his star Nani for the headbutt on Socceroo Lucas Neill that sent United down to 10-men against West Ham.

Nani's moment of madness left the Red Devils to play the entire second half with 10 men.
Lucas Neill hardly reacted in the most calm manner after Nani had tried and failed to connect with an ambitious overhead kick but the Portugal winger had no excuse for responding the way he did by butting Neill and dismissal was automatic.
The red card threw unnecessary doubt over United's charge towards the title, although they received assistance from West Ham's woeful attempt to make the extra man count.
Ferguson offered no excuse for Nani's headbutt on Lucas Neill, which gave referee Mike Riley no alternative than to dismiss the Portugal winger, who will now be ruled out of the Wigan trip plus the first two games of next season.
"There is no excuse," said the Scot. "He showed a measure of immaturity and we will deal with it."
It was an ominous warning for Nani, who knows his conduct might have proved costly if West Ham had shown more ambition than they ultimately proved capable of.
