Fringe Socceroo Tommy Oar played an hour as Cypriot club APOEL commenced their route to the UEFA Champions League with a 1-0 win overnight.
The Australian winger made his competitive debut for the Cypriot giants who edged Luxembourg champions F91 Dudelange 1-0.
Oar was replaced after 60 minutes, with Facundo Bertoglio netting the winner on 72 minutes.

Elsewhere, Alex Gersbach was an unused sub as Rosenborg drew 1-1 away to Irish champions Dundalk.
The matches are part of the Champions League second qualifying round.
Meanwhile on Wednesday in Korea, Australian defender Tomislav Mrcela came off the bench to score the equaliser for Chunnam Dragons in a 2-2 draw away to Gangwon.
Mrcela scored with a sliding finish from a free-kick on 79 minutes, barely two minutes after arriving on the pitch.
Matt Jurman was absent while Connor Chapman started and played 65 minutes as Suwon Bluewongs defeated Incheon United 3-0.
