Torino defender Angelo Ogbonna escaped unharmed after his car fell from a bridge into a river, the club confirmed today.
Poor visibility saw Ogbonna lose control of his Smart car while returning from his team“s 1-0 home triumph against Napoli yesterday evening in the vicinity of Turin.
The 20-year-old defender was rescued by police and was conscious and responsive as he was taken to a nearby hospital for observation.
Ogbonna was diagnosed with thoracic trauma but tests have excluded any fractures.
