Sasa Ognenovski will miss Adelaide United`s opening 2008 Asian Champions League match against Korean champions Pohang Steelers following the death of his father.
The defender, who signed a two-year deal with Adelaide after joining from Queensland Roar last month, was due to fly to Korea with United on Saturday but has instead travelled to Melbourne to be with his family.
The 28-year-old had missed Tuesday`s friendly with fellow A-League side Melbourne Victory through injury but was expected to return at the Steelyard next week.
