Fringe Olyroo Ben Garuccio has been ruled out of action for ten months after tearing knee ligaments at training.
The Hearts defender fullback suffered the suspected ACL injury at club training and won't play again this year.
The 23 year old is in his first season with Hearts after joining from Adelaide United and has made 17 appearances for the Scottish Premiership side.
He is the latest in string of Hearts players who have been injured this season, ending their title ambitions.
