The Olyroos have drawn 0-0 with Iran overnight in their second phase Olympic qualifier in Tehran.
Local reports say the Iranians dominated the match but didn’t have enough firepower upfront to trouble Olyroo keeper Danny Vukovic and his well-drilled defence.
Iran's best chance was after seven minutes when Oladi had sent Milad Meydavoudi through on goal, but the forward was denied by Aussie keeper Vukovic in a one-on-one situation.
The Aussies had three players yellow carded: Nathan Burns, Lee Broxham and Ben Griffin.
Iran and Australia are grouped with Saudi Arabia and Jordan in Group D in the second phase of Olympic qualification. The top-two of each group will advance to final stage of the qualification.
In other national team news, the Socceroos will continue their Asian Cup finals build-up with a friendly against China in Guangzhou on March 24.
