Josep Gombau's men made it three from three in the qualifiers to top Group F and ensure the Green and Gold are in the mix to challenge for a spot at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

The host nation threatened early but it was the Australians who went into the break two up thanks to Melbourne City's Bruce Kamau (5') and  Western Sydney Wanderers Jonathan Aspro (30') whose reaction header off a rebound was somewhat fortuitous.

Wanderers had a secobnd hero on the night when Jaushua Sotirio finished off a lightning team attack with a classy header (57') to bring up the Olyroos third of the night and the 21-year-old's second of the campaign.

Across three games - including Brunei (2-0) and Singapore (7-0) the Aussies chalked up 12 goals without conceding, Adelaide United's Paul Izzo pulling off some fine saves between the sticks.

The Championship kicks-off in China in January, with the Australians desperate to qualify for the Olympics for the first time since 2008.
