The online poll, run in coordination with Newscorp publication The Herald Sun, gives fans the opportunity to vote for one name and one colour, with four options for each.

The poll also allows fans to vote for a name of their own choosing.

Possible West Melbourne names were leaked earlier in the week after FFA bought the rights for a variety of West Melbourne internet domain names. Each option available is the result of a series of community forums held across the Wyndham shire council.

The options for West Melbourne's name are as follows:

West Melbourne are set to formally enter the competition at the beginning of the 2019/20 A-League season and will play at Geelong's Kardinia Park, with a purpose-built stadium set to be completed in Tarneit by 2022.

West Melbourne recently announced their first signing, 28-cap Greek international and Serie A stalwart, Panagiotis Kone.

Entering the competition also gives each entrant the chance of winning a three season membership with West Melbourne and a personalised seat at the club's to-be-built stadium.

It is unclear whether a separate vote will be held to choose the team's crest. Voting can be accessed at the Herald Sun website.
