HOLLAND and coach Bert van Marwijk were still awaiting news on Arjen Robben's injury today amid fears the Bayern Munich winger's World Cup dream could be over.
Robben came on as a half-time substitute in yesterday's 6-1 thrashing of Hungary and scored two goals before being forced off with a hamstring injury five minutes from time.
The 26-year-old remained in Holland when the rest of the team flew to South Africa while he waits for the result of a scan he had today.
"There is still no news, we hope he is doing well," said Van Marwijk on the team's arrival at their hotel in Johannesburg.
Meanwhile, team-mate Robin van Persie admits it is the worst thing that could have happened to the squad.
He said: "Everybody was shocked. This is a bit of a doomsday scenario. I find it unbelievable. Everyone was down afterwards."
Holland's first game is on June 14 against Denmark, while they also face Japan and Cameroon.
