The Socceroos got past Saudi Arabia in Damman today with an impressive 3-1 win in oppressive conditions and in front of a hostile crowd to complement their 2-1 win over Thailand in Brisbane on Friday.
Now Osieck wants more of the same when Australia take on Oman in Sydney next month in the next step on the road to Brazil 2014.
"I'm in the rhythm," he told Fox Sports after watching Josh Kennedy strike twice and Luke Wilkshire convert from the penalty spot to secure today's Socceroo win.
"So far we have 100 percent of what we could have got - six points in two games, that's the maximum and now we have to carry on.
"We can't become complacent. The next home game is against Oman, they shouldn't be under-rated. For sure, it is a must-win, and then I think we have made a major step forward."
He added: "I am very happy with our performance today. The boys did extremely well.
"You have to consider not only the performance tonight but the way to get here was very dfificult and logistically quite an ordeal but it all worked well and the boys really showed a great attitude.
"I have confidence in the boys. I know they have great character and they showed it today."
Skipper Lucas Neill said he was delighted the squad had picked themselves up after their poor game against Thailand on Friday where they were lucky to snatch a win.
And now he was revelling in two wins from two games for Australia.
"Great start - disappointing performance the other day," he admitted. "It was very professional tonight. You're not going to see it on TV but it's extremely hot.
"I thought we were extremely convincing and stuck to a good gameplan and it worked."
He added: "i think we put too much emphasis on starting the game last week and forgot to actually start.
"This time we took a step back and played ourselves into the game. Everything went really well, everything went to plan.
"Sticky ten minutes in the second half, sloppy defending after a firecracker went off, we switched off and made a schoolboy error [to give away the penalty].
"But three goals away from home against arguably the second favourites in the group, we are now in a strong, strong position to finish on top.
"We just have to concentrate on winning our next two games. We play Oman in Sydney and hopefully they'll be low on confidence. We put in another good performance, another win.
"Performances are important, but points are what gets us to the World Cup."
