Werder Bremen have confirmed midfielder Mesut Ozil has joined Real Madrid for an undisclosed fee, believed to be around 15 million euros.
Bremen turned down an offer from the Spanish giants on Friday but have now reached an agreement which satisfies their demands for a player who would have been available on a free transfer when his contract expired in 12 months.
The player, who was one of the stars of the World Cup in South Africa, will undergo a medical in the Spanish capital tomorrow.
The 21-year-old did not take part in the Bundesliga club's final training session ahead of tomorrow's Champions League clash with Sampdoria this afternoon.
