Erik Paartalu has been targeted for a return to the A-League but the midfielder appears determined to see out his deal in Korea.
Paartalu joined Jeonbuk Motors in February but has made just four appearances for the K-League side since arriving from Melbourne City.
The 2011 Brisbane Roar grand final winner has been frozen out at the Green Warriors, with Jeonbuk coach Choi Kang-hee claiming in May that Paartalu was struggling with the competition's faster tempo.
FourFourTwo understands a handful of A-League clubs, including Wellington Phoenix, have enquired about bringing the 30-year old's home for the 2016-17 campaign.
But it is believed Paartalu will see out his contract in Korea, that takes him through until late November this year, despite the rare chance of game-time in the future.
The former Socceroo has played in China, Thailand, Scotland and in the NSL in his long career. Paartalu, who has two caps for Australia to his name, is a dual premiership winner with Roar.
