SOCCEROO Patrick Kisnorbo has been ruled out for the rest of the Championship season due to a long-term Achilles injury with his Leeds boss stating he won't rush the Australian back.
The 29-year-old defender, who is out of contract at Leeds at the end of the season, has been out of action for almost 12 months after rupturing his Achilles in a match against Millwall on March 22 last year.
The Socceroo, who was Leeds' Player of the Season last term, is up and running again but Leeds boss Simon Grayson doesn't expect him back before the end of the campaign.
"He's doing his rehab and a bit of running here and there," Grayson told the Yorkshire Evening Post.
"But at the back of our minds we've ruled him out for the rest of the season.
"That's not to say that he won't get back, but we don't want to rush him. It would be a bonus for us if he plays any football.
"He's been out for so long that you get complications along the way if you're not careful, or if you rush him back. For the sake of a few weeks, you might as well leave it."
Kisnorbo's injury status raises fresh concerns about his future at Leeds, with Grayson previously stating the club would address the Australian's contract when he returns to full fitness.
