CRYSTAL Palace boss Neil Warnock has blasted Socceroos coach Pim Verbeek for suggesting that Nick Carle and the Eagles are not an ideal match.
Carle has been left out of the squad for the squad for next week's World Cup qualifier against Qatar and Verbeek has made no secret of the fact that he doesn't feel the player is in an environment which will best allow him to shine.
Warnock, one of English football's great characters, told the South London Press: "We have people like Shaun Derry and Ben Watson winning the second ball to give Nick freedom on the pitch.
"The coach should talk about his own performances with Australia. He doesn’t know anything about Palace - when has he seen us play? He’s only read newspapers or seen TV games, which you can’t possibly judge.
"He should come and see us more often and get a better assessment."
Carle joined the Eagles during the English off season after making the switch from fellow Championship side Bristol City.
