Napoli attacker Goran Pandev has backed Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho's suggestions the election for the Coach of the Year award was flawed.
FIFA has since defended the integrity of the managerial honour, insisting the list of votes published by the world football's governing body is accurate.
But Pandev said his vote as Macedonia captain was wrongly awarded to Spain coach Vicente del Bosque, who won the award ahead of Mourinho.
"I voted for Mourinho," Pandev told La Sexta Deportes, even though the list published by FIFA has Pandev voting for Del Bosque, ahead of Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini and Borussia Dortmund coach Juergen Klopp.
"I don't know what has happened here, but it is very strange.
"I told Mourinho I had voted for him, but I don't know what happened afterwards."
