Newcastle sit 16th in the Premier League table after labouring through a disappointing campaign, the low-point of which was a 3-0 home defeat to local rivals Sunderland earlier in the month.
Newcastle face Liverpool on Saturday knowing a win will go a long way to securing their top-flight status, but Pardew conceded that his players are deeply annoyed at their failure to build on last season's fifth-placed finish.
"I think emotions are running high and probably will be until the next home game," Pardew told The Daily Mirror.
"We are just looking to get rid of frustration as I said to the players."
Pardew is well aware that results have been below-par this term, however he was quick to point out that his team have had to deal with a high number of injuries throughout the year.
"The frustration we've got is that we know that our results should have been stronger," he added. "But we have lost many players in many games. Sometimes we've had three or four missing.
"Every time we've entered games, we've lost players. It's been tough for us. When you look round and think 'where are they'."
