The 24-year-old, who has been beset by injury problems this season, struck twice as Barcelona overpowered Athletic Bilbao 3-0 in Friday's match.

Pedro opened the scoring at the Vicente Calderon after just three minutes and then struck again midway through the first half after Lionel Messi had doubled Barcelona's advantage.

With Spain boss Vicente del Bosque having admitted earlier this week that he had yet to decide whether to take Pedro to Poland and Ukraine, the World Cup winner is now hopeful that he has secured a seat on the plane.

"I have faith in going to the Euros," he said.

"I'm happy because it's been a tough year and very difficult for me. I'm happy with the victory and the goals.

"The first goal was very early and was a plus for us. Then we scored two more goals and we could play the second half in peace."

Pedro has scored four goals in 16 appearances for his country.
