Brazilian giants Santos have been invited by Boca Juniors to play a friendly which could feature Pele and Diego Maradona running out for their former clubs.
The match could be set up for next month, although a venue is still to be found.
"This is a project built by Boca and Santos is proud of it," said Santos general manager Luiz Antonio Ruas Capella.
"It would be excellent for Pele and Maradona to meet in a big celebration. We only have to talk about dates, as we have to play Campeonato Brasileiro matches next month."
Despite the rivalry between Argentina and Brazil, Pele is respected by Boca Juniors, and the club's museum has a space reserved for the player with a Santos shirt worn by him alongside his picture.
