FIRST seen in 1982, now few teams win the World Cup without negotiating the dreaded 12 yard shoot out.
As fun as it would be for many it would be just too obvious for the England team to dominate this.....from Italia 90, France 98 or Germany 2006...take your pick. With so much at stake, penalty shoot-outs are a regular feature of the knockout stages of any World Cup finals tournament since their introduction in 1982. We've chosen to remember the first World Cup final to be decided from 12 yards at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena when Italy's Roberto Baggio blazed over the bar to hand victory to Brazil after a goalless final.
Oh....go on then....
