ASIAROOS WRAP: Joel Griffiths has made a statement to new Australia coach Holger Osieck by scoring a double in Beijing Guoan's 2-1 victory over Changchun Yatai in the CSL on Saturday.
Griffiths, 30, scored twice before the break to fire reigning champions Beijing up to third on the CSL table.
The former Newcastle Jets striker broke through on nine minutes with a lovely finish after nice one-two move involving Walter Martinez.

Griffiths tucked the ball home from close-range via a corner for the equaliser in the second-half of the draw.
Meanwhile, Perth Glory's Chris Coyne was an unused substitute as Liaoning Whowin drew 1-1 with Henan Construction.
