Perth Glory have signalled their W-League Championship intentions with the signing of Nicola Bolger from Sydney FC.
Bolger, 24, joins Bobby Despotovski's Glory side after several years with the Sky Blues.
The versatile midfielder has title-winning and international experience, adding plenty of quality to the Glory squad.
Bolger admitted the decision to leave her hometown of Sydney was a difficult one, but says she's excited for the opportunity ahead.
I am a big believer that opportunities will come and go and sometimes it’s worth taking a risk and venturing down a different path,” she told Perth Glory.
“I am forever grateful for my time and experiences with Sydney FC. They are a great club and I take away many incredible footballing memories after successful and enjoyable seasons.
“But it was always a goal of mine to venture interstate in the W-League whenever the timing allowed it and I’m fortunate to be in a situation off the field that allows me to pursue this opportunity.

“I’m lucky enough to have the full support of family, friends and loved ones that has allowed me to head to Perth.
“It’s a new team, a new state and a new opportunity with a club that has proven to be very competitive and successful in the past few seasons and I’m very eager and excited for what’s ahead."
She added: “Glory have fielded some really great international players in the past few seasons, and I’m definitely looking forward to the opportunity to combine with them.
“In terms of who I’m particularly looking forward to playing with, I don't think you can go far past Sam [Kerr].
“I have always loved playing with her through the national teams and previous Sydney FC seasons together, so I’m definitely looking forward to getting out on the field with her again.”
