SYDNEY FC young gun Dimitri Petratos will be sidelined for the next four weeks after injuring his ankle at training, ruling him out of the rest of the Asian Champions League group stage.
The 18-year-old will not travel with his Sydney FC teammates this weekend for their 12-day trip of Korea and Japan which features 2011 AFC Champions League clashes with Suwon Samsung Bluewings (Tuesday 3 May) and Kashima Antlers (Tuesday 10 May).
Petratos will commence rehabilitation immediately with the hope of returning to light running in three weeks.
