EXCLUSIVE: Organisers of the Pan Pacific Soccer Championships are keen to expand the tournament, says Sydney coach John Kosmina.
“They want it to grow, to make it an annual event and to invite more teams in from other parts of the pacific rim,” said Sydney FC
“So, they want it to work. New Zealand has been mentioned, South Korea, and some other nations. Everybody wants it to be a success.
As for A-League teams, Kosmina added “it's all to do with timing and the finals. And the season could be extended next season – so how do you choose who goes?
“And if it's in the middle of a season like in season one of the A-League when Sydney played in the club world championship that can be disruptive for everybody.
“So there's a lot to think about.”
