Wellington Phoenix have cashed in on a new dedicated football channel and new management at New Zealand's Sky Sport with a new TV and shirt sponsorship deal.
The new relationship will see Sky Sport work more closely than ever before with Phoenix and is set to give fans an even greater insight into its operations, promise the club.
Sky Sport will also take up the back of shirt position on all home and away shirts, as well as branding on travel gear.
Wellington Phoenix General Manager David Dome said the partnership was an important extension of the existing relationship between club and broadcaster.
''Sky Sport has undergone significant change in the last six months including the introduction of a dedicated football channel and the new Sky Sport Now app," he said.
''The new CEO and his team have been a breath of fresh air to deal with and we are truly excited about building a partnership with the new Sky.
''We want to give fans even greater access to the club and are working with Sky on how we do this – not only on game day where we will be introducing some new initiatives – but in and around the club."
Sky Chief Executive Martin Stewart said, “We’re looking forward to working with Phoenix to make the fan viewing experience even better, both on Sky Sport and at the soon to be renamed Sky Stadium."
