Diminutive playmaker Roberto Carlos Cornejo and American born MK Dons player Jemal Johnson are mulling over offers from the boom Kiwi franchise, report O Kosmos columnists Tony and Xanthie Rallis.

Johnson, 25, was born in New York but has lived in the UK  since he was a child. He originally signed with Manchester United academy but joined the Blackburn Academy at 19. He's played for MK since 2007 but was on loan at Stockport last season.

The MK Dons official club website describes the player as "an enigmatic talent popular among Dons supporters".

It goes on to say that when on-song the versatile "JJ" can be a handful for defenders and has an eye for spectacular goals. It's understood that Cornejo has played in Chile although it's not clear what was his most recent club.

It should be known in around a week if the pair are to wear the black and gold of Phoenix in season six of the A-Leaguem kicking off in less than three weeks.

Meanwhile, Phoenix are still waiting for a response from Socceroo Jade North's management in relation to a two year offer for the versatile defender.
