RONALDO'S physiotherapist, Bruno Mazziotti, believes the Corinthians forward still has plenty to offer at the top level.
It is exactly a year since the 32-year-old striker suffered a serious knee injury playing for AC Milan against Livorno.
The three-time FIFA World Player of the Year has since returned to his homeland and signed a one-year deal with Corinthians in December.
Mazziotti told globoesporte.com: "I say that Ronaldo has football in his blood. In every examination he does not show any problem that could stop him from playing football.
"He began to train sooner than expected. In August, he was clinically recovered when it was scheduled to be October or November. He is not like anybody else.
"I have no doubt that Ronaldo will play for some years more in great shape. He is very excited as he has returned to football's world. Signing with Corinthians was very positive. He is happy training.
"Nobody who does not want to continue playing in the top competition goes through this long-term recovery process twice. Ronaldo's strength and spirit is amazing."
