WEDNESDAY night’s World Cup qualifier with Bahrain will be a “celebration” says Socceroo coach Pim Verbeek who aims to select his strongest side for the clash.

Speaking after arriving home with the victorious Socceroos following confirmation of their World Cup qualification, Verbeek confirmed he'll look to play his strongest 11.
"We are ready for a big celebration game on Wednesday and next Wednesday," he said. "I'm sure the boys will do everything to be fit for that game to show the fans we deserve to go to the World Cup and that we can do a job over there also.
"It means the fans can celebrate that we are there. And we have to win the game, we want to win the game. We want to show the fans we are a good team."
However he also said that Scott Chipperfield and Mark Bresciano are unlikely to play on Wednesday night. Bresciano had a "logistic" problem with his family while Chipperfield has a foot injury.
Carl Valeri is also unavailable having rejoined his club Grosetto in their bid for promotion to Serie A. Russian-based Luke Wilkshire joins up with the squad after being suspended for the Qatar clash last Saturday night.
But those aside, it's a Socceroo side looking to maintain its unbeaten record in this final group qualifiers.
"I will find out who is fit and ready after this," said Verbeek. Australia trains at ANZ stadium on Tuesday afternoon ahead of the game on Wednesday night.
The Socceroos arrived back to a small group of fans at Sydney airport but a large media contingent.
Bahrain arrive yesterday and, with losses to Qatar and Uzbekistan on the weekend, are in pole position to finish third in the group.
Skipper Lucas Neill described the feeling of qualification a second time around as even more satisfying.
"In a funny kind of way it's a lot more rewarding because it's always harder to do it a second time around because of the expectations," he said.
And he praised the move into the AFC as having a postive influence on the national team.
He added: "We play a lot more competitive games much more regularly. As a result we've got into the World Cup as one of the first nations to do so."
