New Socceroos coach Pim Verbeek revealed today that Viduka is the only star still to decide on his Socceroo future.

He has been in touch with all the UK stars and won commitments from them to turn out for the game if selected.

"They (the overseas-based players) are all very keen to be here on February 6," Verbeek said in Melbourne today.

"They say the moment I select them they will come for sure.

"But the next few weeks I will decide whether to go with them, whether to go with a combination, or whether to just use A-League players."

If Verbeek has persuaded the high-profile Euro stars to sign up for the campaign, it would be his first great achievement as the new Australia coach.

Many of the players had been reluctant to make the trip for the qualifiers, citing club commitments and the lengthy travel involved.

But Verbeek is confident he has them onside and hasn't yet given up on Viduka.

The Newcastle United striker has been hanging fire on whether to continue with his international career and has yet to make a decision.

Verbeek added: "He says he is struggling a little bit from the last Asian Cup - he is the only one still considering what he is going to do February 6.

"If he can be part of that - maybe not all 14 games - then I am thinking of taking him. He is a very dangerous striker and I will try to convince him it is necessary."
