Cahill has spent the last week in camp in Sydney, recovering from a calf injury and did not play any part in the Socceroos 2-0 win over Uzbekistan on Wednesday night. Moyes has often been scathing of Australia's use of Cahill, especially in regards to him suffering injuries while on national duty.

But Verbeek hit back at Moyes in his own inimitable way, suggesting the English Premier League club should be grateful for the medical rehabilitation Cahill has undergone during his time with Australia.

"Timmy is 100 percent fit, if he can play 90 minutes, that's up to my colleague at Everton," he said. "We bring him back fit, and I think they can be very grateful to our medical staff that they did that job, when he came in, he could not walk.

"So they will be happy with us, this time, normally, they are not happy with us, this time they should be happy."

However, Moyes may not be as happy with Verbeek's plans to play his strongest side in the final three World Cup qualifiers regardless of whether Australia has already qualified. The Socceroos need just one point from those three games to book their passage to South Africa, but Verbeek will persist with his best side in the matches against Qatar away and then Bahrain and Japan at home.

"I don't have the feeling that I will bring a second team on the field when we play here. The boys deserve to play and the fans deserve to see the players, so if they are ready, if they are fit, they will come, they will play and they will have a celebration. That's the plan," he said.

Verbeek said the environment of the team camp was crucial to building a team which could be competitive in the World Cup.

"I think it's a great challenge with all the things were are doing, with the travelling, the injured players, bringing new and young players in. The guys are fantastic, they are a great group outside of the field, fantastic. They are very professional and I'm very pleased to work with them," he said.

The one concern for Verbeek is an ankle injury suffered by defensive midfielder Carl Valeri, and he conceded that the Grosseto man will miss some games with his club.

"Carl Valeri injured the same ankle. That's a pity, because it happened in a contest. I'm afraid he will have a problem coming back to his club," he said.

But the other two players who entered the camp with injury worries, Michael Beauchamp and Mark Bresciano, are both fit and ready to return to club action when needed.

"Beauchamp is okay, I think Bresc played a great game, he gets treatment now again from the medical staff, they never stop working. We want to have them back at their clubs fit."
