PIM Verbeek has no qualms about picking three uncapped 'keepers for the Socceroos first Asian Cup qualifier against Indonesia.
"You've got to make your debut some time," he said at today's announcement of the Socceroo squad to face Indonesia in Jakarta on January 29.
Michael Theoklitos, Eugene Galekovic and Danny Vukovic were picked today and Verbeek has backed them to prove they can perform in front of an expected 90,000 fans in the Indonesian capital.
"It's a good test and if I didn't have the confidence in them, then for sure I'd see if another guy is available," he said. "But for sure I have the confidence."
Ante Covic was omitted due to form, said Verbeek, while Olyroo number Tando Velaphi was also omitted.
Elsewhere, he said that Phoenix midfielder Jon McKain would come into the squad should there be an injury to either Paul Reid of the Reds or Roar's Matt McKay.
