PIM Verbeek will finally reveal his World Cup squad next Tuesday and put an end to months of speculation over who will be on the plane to South Africa.
The outgoing Australia coach will reveal his chosen ones at the Qantas Sydney Jet Base, alongside Football Fedration Australia CEO Ben Buckley.
Plenty of questions remain to be answered about the exact make up of the squad. While there are a healthy number of dead certs, several others will have an anxious wait before learning whether they need to pack a suitcase.
Will Nick Carle have done enough to squeeze in and which goalkeepers will get the nod behind Mark Schwarzer?
Will Craig Moore's recent lack of action count against him or is Verbeek already settled on a Moore-Lucas Neill partnership at the back?
Will any A-League players make the cut? Has Tommy Oar done enough to convince Verbeek he is ready for the world stage?
One thing is for sure, several of those who contributed to World Cup qualifcation are going to be disappointed.
Disappointment will also still await even four of those who do make it on the plane to South Africa. Pim will be naming his 27-man squad to take to South Africa...but only 23 of those will actually be in the World Cup squad.
