To see Pim make his announcement...

Michael Beauchamp:

Michael took the opportunity to play in the Middle East and I'm very happy in the last two months he's played a lot of games. It's good to have him with us.

Mark Bresciano:
Bresc is a versatile player. Can play left, can play right, Can play behind the strikers and can score goals.

Tim Cahill:
I don't think I have to introduce Tim. He was a very important player in the qualification and he is of course one of our key players as you all know. I think he's played an unbelievable amount of games in England at the moment and he's taking a small break and he deserves that.

Nick Carle:
One of the players who spent quite some years here in the A-League. He took the step to go to England and I'm happy that Nick is here, because he is always such a good professional and is always part of the team. I'm happy to have him here.

David Carney:
David was one of the players who was champion with FC Twente this year. I saw the celebration and I promise you David was part of the celebration. Aussies like celebrations and parties and he did very well in his team.

Scott Chipperfield:
Nobody has to say anything about Scott. Great player, great mentality of course and scoring a lot of goals with his club Basel. It's good to have him with us

Jason Culina:
Was one of those players who spent five or six weeks abroad, training with his former club PSV Eindhoven. They were very pleased to have him back. I'm very happy that he made it into the squad. He's very fit and ready to be part of the selection.

Brett Emerton:
Emmo is the one who can play in several positions. Plays in the right midfield, right back and even central midfield at the moment with Blackburn. He is one of out fittest and most experienced players.

Adam Federici:
Adam played every game in the last year with his team Reading. He was very solid. Tony Franken was there and saw him many times and we are very happy to have him with us also.

Eugene Galekovic:
Had a great season with Adelaide. Adelaide had a difficult season, but are doing fantastically in the Asian Champions League and Eugene is one of those players who has contributed to those results. I spoke with him, he knows his role. It's a difficult role because he knows he has to wait if something happens with the other goalkeepers to be part of the final 23. But he's more than happy to be with us.

Richard Garcia:
Richard Garcia has had an injury a few weeks ago. He is doing well at the moment. He is having full-time treatment. The expectation is that there is no problem at all. So it's good to have him with his team. His team has been relegated which is not so good. But it is good he is with us.

Vince Grella:
Vince is always there, Vince is one of those players who you need in your team. He's a leader, he can make something different. He can make the whole game change during the game and he will be very ready.

James Holland:
One of the youngest players in the selections is James Holland. I saw James more than several times in his club AZ. Central midfield at the moment, we all know him as an attacking midfielder. Very promising. He played his first big game against Celtic for the first team and he will be part of the selection for AZ next year so I thought it was a great opportunity for him to be part of this 30 players and maybe part of the last 23.

Brett Holman:
Plays behind the striker. Very fit, running, provides other players with opportunities to score goals. It's good to have him with us.

Mile Jedinak:
Mile has had a great season in Turkey. He's a player who made unbelievable progression in two years' time. Thanks to the Mariners, he got his chance to be part of the A-League team. He's one of the most solid players we have in our selection. He's still playing next weekend and we all hope and pray he will survive that game also.

Brad Jones:
Brad started very well with Middlesbrough. He had a few months where he wasn't in the team but in the last few months he has played every game. I think in the last four games, three or four times he was man of the match. It's not good for the team if your goalkeeper is man of the match, but for us it is very good. Brad is very talented and he will show that he will be goalkeeper for the future for Australia.

Josh Kennedy:
Josh made a decision to go to Japan last winter. I think he scored every game one goal at least. He's very important for his club Nagoya. Josh is a guy who can score goals and put other players in scoring positions. Josh will be there.

Harry Kewell:
Harry Kewell, of course there are rumours and of course there are opinions, but Harry will be ready. Medical staff, Harry himself have convinced me that he will be ok. We still have five weeks to prepare him for the first game against Germany. So don't worry about him, he will be there.

Shane Lowry:
Shane is on loan at Leeds United and played most of the games there. Left back and central defender, young and talented and it's always good to have a few players in your squad who can play in more positions. Very young still, but has grown up in English football. Tough player to play against, it's good to have him with us.

Scott McDonald:
Scotty changed from Celtic to Middlesbrough. New club had its challenges and he had a little bit difficult start in the first month, but after that he played every game and scored a lot of goals. So far he hasn't done it in the international team. But it's time for him to score some goals, so hopefully he waited to do that job until the World Cup.

Mark Milligan:
Millsy is one of out biggest talented players. He was the captain of the Olympic team in China, after that played in China, plays in Japan at the moment and plays every game. He has played a lot of games in his league and Millsy can play central defender and right full back and even in the midfield.

Craig Moore:
I don't have to introduce Craig. Craig spent two months in Greece. It was quite a hectic time. I heard he played a lot of games in those months. It's good that he can take a few weeks off and he's been training with Darren Burgess. He will be with us next week and he will be ready. It's great to have him back after everything that has happened to him in the past few years. Great guy, fantastic defender, very experienced.

Lucas Neill:
Lucas went from England to Turkish football with Galatasaray. He probably will tell you a lot of stories about playing in Turkish football. Lucas is the captain and is one of the guys who always does a great job for us. It's good to have him with us.

Jade North:
Jade didn't play at all in Korea. He made a move out of Korea to go to his club in Norway. We saw him play over there. Playing there in several positions. Jade is one of those players that never gives up and is always there for the team. It's good to have him back with us.

Tommy Oar:
Left winger. Very, very promising. Got an opportunity from Brisbane Roar to play and develop and I think it's great for Australian football that we have a player like him, just 18 years old. He made a big impression in the few weeks he was in the Netherlands. He signed a contract there to play for a very interesting club. I'm sure Tommy can be a great player in the future. So it was good for him to be a part of the selection, especially as you don't get many left-footed players with his qualities. We all remember the game against Indonesia, but he still has to show that he is not only a talent, he is also a great player.

Nikita Rukavytsya:
Originally in the Netherlands, he's on loan in a Belgian club. He's very important over there, scores every week. They are in the playoffs at the moment so he still has two games to go. Nikita is one of the fastest players we have. He can play striker and he can play left winger and makes a good impression in Belgian football. So it's good to have him with us also.

Mark Schwarzer:
Mark, no doubt, is our No.1 goalkeeper, there's no discussion about that. He has an unbelievable for Fulham last year and this year. Playing in the Europa League final, which is the pinnacle of his career and his second World Cup. Mark is one of those boys who on the field is not the captain with the armband, but outsider of the field, for sure a captain and a great player to have in your selection.

Carl Valeri:
Carl is one of those players who are always available, always ready. If he plays, he never plays a bad game, he's always playing for the team, he's a tough Italian grown-up boy and it's good to have him with us, especially in the World Cup.

Dario Vidosic:
Dario Vidosic is one of those players who changed clubs. He went from Nuremberg to Duisberg in the second Bundesliga. Dario is one of our most talented players. He can play in several positions. He even played right full back in the last two games and we all know that attacking-wise he is at his strongest. Very good player, very promising player. And it is good to have him with us.

Luke Wilkshire:
Started with me as a right winger and together with Emerton as a right full-back. After a few games we changed that. Luke can play anywhere, right full back, central midfield, right midfield. A great player and is doing very well with his club in Russia. I'm very happy he is ready and fit.

Rhys Williams:
Rhys Williams has made unbelievable progress. A year ago he was not playing at all for Middlesbrough and he went on loan to Burnley. Played a lot of games there as a right full-back. He decided to part of the Socceroos and play for Australia and he did. He has played in Middlesbrough in every game, central midfield and he went very well over there. Tough, good football player, still very young, very promising and it's good to have him with us.
