Bayern Munich striker Lukas Podolski admits he has had enough of warming the bench at the Allianz Arena.
The 22-year-old has been largely restricted to substitute appearances this season, with Bayern boss Ottmar Hitzfeld favouring Luca Toni and Miroslav Klose up front.
Podolski, who scored for Germany in Wednesday's 4-0 friendly win over Switzerland, was linked with a move to Manchester City in the January transfer window, but Bayern were unwilling to let him go.
But the former Koln striker is adamant he will not settle for a place on the bench any longer.
He told the Bild newspaper: "I hope again every weekend that I will be allowed to play from the start. But that has hardly been the case this season.
"I am understandably very unhappy with my situation at Bayern.
"Above all I would like to develop further as a player. And that can not really happen on the bench. When have I this season been in the starting line-up three games in a row?
"Honestly, I have had my fill of the Bayern bench."
Podolski claims he will consider his future with the Bundesliga leaders over the summer.
He added: "I will leave it until the end of the season. Then I will have to consider whether it makes sense for both parties.
"I want to do what I have fun doing and what I am paid to do - play football. I have sat on the bench long enough."
