The 29-year-old striker joined Reading on a four-year contract last year after enjoying an impressive loan spell at Fulham, and has scored eight goals in all competitions for the club.

Reading are currently seven points adrift of safety with eight games remaining, and reports have speculated that the powerful forward, who has missed the last three games through suspension, will be looking for a move away from the club if they fail to avoid the drop.

However, the Russian deflected reports linking him with a move back to former club Zenit St Petersburg, insisting he has Reading's priorities at heart.

Asked about a move to Zenit, Pogrebnyak told Sport-Express: "Nothing. The season is not over, so it would be too soon to talk about the future.

"Now, I focus on helping Reading to get important points in the Premier League."
