Just weeks after Farias guided Pohang to victory in the Asian Champions League final, he ended his five-year spell at The Steelyard and joined Saudi Arabia'sAl Nasr.

Last season Pohang also finished second in the domestic K-League before losing out in the semi-finals of the play-offs.

"Actually, there is a mood at the club to hire a Brazilian coach," said Pohang chief executive Kim Tae-man.

"But the door is open to candidates, both domestic and from overseas, and we are looking at those who can continue the success that Farias brought to the club.

"With the success of Pohang in the K-League and Asia, there are a number of overseas coaches with serious interest."
