Poland coach Leo Beenhakker fielded something approaching his strongest team and watched on as Maciej Zurawski grabbed the only goal of the game inside the first five minutes.

The scoreline was unflattering on Beenhakker's troops, who bossed possession and had much the better of the chances as Albania failed to get out of first gear.

Larissa frontman Zurawski fired Poland ahead after just three minutes.

A long throw from Marcin Wasilewski was not dealt with by the Albanian defence and Zurawski was on hand to spin on the ball and fire home with a low drive.

Roger might have made it 2-0 on his Poland debut but fluffed his lines with the net yawning after 15 minutes.

Poland's best chance to increase their lead arrived early in the second period when Mariusz Lewandowski's left-footed effort rattled the frame of the Albania goal.

Beenhakker's men had other chances to extend their lead but in the end the game petered out as it became clear Albania were offering nothing in the way of an attacking threat at the other end of the pitch.

Poland's final warm-up match is against Denmark on Sunday, while Beenhakker will name his definitive 23-man squad for Austria and Switzerland on Wednesday morning.

Poland have been drawn in Group B at next month's tournament, alongside Germany, Croatia and Austria.
