Martin Vingaard opened the scoring for the Danes midway through the first half while Maciej Zurawski missed from the penalty spot soon after.

Jacek Krzynowek found the back of the net for the Poles shortly before the interval, but the display will have done little to ease any nerves among supporters ahead of their Euro 2008 opener against Germany on June 8.

Having managed a narrow 1-0 win over Albania last Tuesday, the hosts were hoping for a better display against Denmark and Jakub Wawrzyniak tested goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen early on with a drilled shot from distance.

Tomasz Zahorski should have made it 1-0 after 18 minutes but he somehow pushed his six-yard effort past the left post.

And the Poles were made to pay in the 28th minute when Vingaard smashed home from 12 yards in only his second appearance for the Danes.

Poland were given a way back into the match seven minutes later when Martin Jorgensen brought down Ebi Smolarek in the area, but Sorensen kept out the resulting penalty from Zurawski.

A goal eventually arrived for the hosts three minutes before the interval though with Smolarek providing the cross which Krzynowek turned in from close range.

The second half was a woeful affair with a spate of substitutions from both sides disrupting the flow of the game.

Denmark had the only decent chance after 67 minutes when Nicklas Bendtner saw his strike from the edge of the area turned away by Artur Borac in the Poland goal.

But that was as good as it got with both sides seemingly happy to share the spoils.
