Tony Popovic got off to the perfect start at new club Karabükspor, with the Turkish Super Lig outfit snapping a four-game losing streak overnight.
The former Western Sydney Wanderers coach masterminded a 1-0 win over fifth-placed Kayserispor in his first match in charge.
The game was deadlocked until the 77th minute when Romanian winger Gabriel Torje fired home the winner to the delight of Blue Flame fans.
Popovic, the inaugural coach of Wanderers, sensationally left the A-League club on the eve of the 2017/18 campaign after leading the side to premiership and champions league glory.
