PORTUGAL coach Carlos Queiroz believes his team are determined to prove themselves the best in the world.
A goal from Danny and two from Hugo Almeida gave Portugal a 3-0 win over Mozambique yesterday, on the day they were dealt a blow when winger Nani was ruled out of the tournament because of damage to his collar bone.
"It was good to play a game with intensity and to see that all players are well prepared and determined to represent the best side in the world," Queiroz said on www.fpf.pt.
"It was a beautiful game with goals, and important for all the players who might play."
Portugal open their campaign in Group G, the so-called group of death, against Ivory Coast on Tuesday, before facing North Korea and Brazil.
