FANS can post videos of themselves doing a variety of ‘freestyling’ tricks and raise funds for the Westmead Medical Research Foundation during the World Cup.
To launch the cause, freestyle football Trick Star champion, Chris Beavon, will attempt to make the most "Double around-the-world" tricks in one minute at Club Marconi's ‘Marconi Plaza', Bossley Park on Thursday 10 June at 4pm.
The world record attempt will draw attention to a nationwide, online charity campaign called Football Freestyling. The campaign is part of the Move Movement, a healthy lifestyle initiate developed by WMRF that encourages people to improve their quality of life through better health and fitness.
Beavon has personal reasons for getting behind the cause, his mother suffers from a painful neurological condition. "My mum has a condition call Idiopathic Peripheral Axon Neuropathy. A lot is still unknown about my Mum's condition and other neurological disorders. It's great that I can use my football skills to help raise money for research so that hopefully one day there will be effective treatments."
Find out more about the Move Movement on the Facebook page here, or follow the campaign on twitter here. So get shooting your freestyle videos, post them here and raise some funds for a worthy cause.
