Raining in 22 attempts at Heart's best performer, Clint Bolton, Brisbane's control on the match was total, but while shots on goal and strong possession statistics have been a given for the Roar so far this season, the bag of goals has been long overdue.

Postecoglou's continued faith in his side's ability to find the net was repaid against the Heart, but the Brisbane coach resisted a chance to issue an ‘I told you so', instead telling media in the post-match press conference that his side has the confidence and pace to put any side to the sword.

"Whether it's in possession or in defence, we want to be a team that takes it to the opposition," said Postecoglou.

"I think (our pace) will be too much every week - that's the team we want to be.

"Regardless of who we play that's our strength and that's what we'll play.

"There's no game that we go into thinking that we won't be as mobile or quick in our movement as our opposition, so that's the kind of team we want to be, the opponent is irrelevant."

While Postecoglou remained adamant that a lack of goals hadn't been a concern in the Roar camp, he did admit that first goals of the season to Reinaldo, Mitch Nichols and Paartalu would inject some extra confidence in his offensive brigade.

"We missed a few tonight, but the ones we scored were great goals and our combination play was pretty good," said Postecoglou.

"Scoring goals is fantastic for everyone, even for Kosta (Barbarouses), who's had a rough couple of weeks.

"The players who scored, it was really important that they were the ones and it gives them a bit of extra confidence."

Now second on the ladder and with three wins and a draw from four starts at home, Brisbane will take to the road for an away match with Perth Glory where they will hunting their first away win of the season after two draws and a loss.
