Ange Postecoglou says the Socceroos won't change their approach or style of football as they go for all three points against Iraq.
Australia is on the hunt for a victory after three consecutive draws in their past three World Cup qualifications. The Socceroos have struggled in the Middle East on occasion in the past, but Postecoglou is adamant his side's footballing philosophy won't be altered in Tehran.
"We certainly don't change our approach for an opponent because of where we're playing them and we'll be ready for that," he said.
"You won't see any difference in our approach. At the end of the day no one's managed to beat us yet. We'll keep doing what what we're doing and taking the same positive approach we've taken into every game so far into Thursday's game.
"If we play our football we don't fear anybody. We respect every opponent. Sometimes maybe it works in our favour that other countries don't respect us, but we'll see that on the pitch tomorrow.
"Every time we play we expect to win, and want to win and this is no different. We go into every game knowing it's going to be a tough game. Certainly we understand tomorrow's opponent will provide a challenge."
The last time the two countries met Australia prevailed 2-0 in Perth. Postecoglou is expecting a "tough game" at the PAS Stadium.
"Iraq at the moment probably don't have as many points as their performances deserve," the head coach said.
"We've seen in a couple of the games, particularly against Saudi Arabia where it was only two late penalties that cost them the game. If you give them that three points then they'd definitely be in the mix. We know they're a dangerous opponent.
"What we saw in the first game in Perth they tended to sit pretty defensive and not open up too much. We've seen that with just about all the teams we've played against. Whether tomorrow they have, as you said nothing to lose, they become a little bit more attacking... either way we'll be prepared."
The Socceroos arrived in the Iranian capital on Sunday ahead of Thursday's match and Postecoglou has been pleased with the week in camp.
"Our preparations have been very good," he said.
"We've been pleased with both the hotel and the facilities. The weather conditions have been ideal for us. We're looking forward to the game."
