The postponed A-League Round 7 match between Wellington Phoenix and Melbourne Victory will be played on Tuesday, January 17 in Wellington.
The match was originally scheduled for 19 November but was postponed following damage caused to Westpac Stadium by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake that shook Wellington and the surrounding region.
Head of A-League Greg O’Rourke said FFA was keen to play the rescheduled match as soon as possible with January 17 the earliest available date due to planned resurfacing at the stadium.
“Our aim is to play the match as soon as we can in order to restore the balance of the fixtures amongst all of the clubs on the ladder,” O’Rourke said.
“Having taken into account a number of factors and after discussion with both clubs and the broadcasters, this is the first available midweek date available as Westpac Stadium will be undergoing planned turf maintenance throughout December.”
The match will be live on Fox Sports and Sky Sport in New Zealand.
