Christian Poulsen admits it was no easy decision to turn his back on Sevilla but concedes the offer to join Juventus was too good to turn down.
The 28-year-old Denmark midfielder brought an end to his two-year spell at Sevilla earlier this week after signing a four-year deal with Italian giants Juve, who will pay around 10 millions for his services.
Poulsen enjoyed a hugely successful spell with Sevilla, helping them win the 2007 UEFA Cup as well the Copa del Rey, Spanish Supercup and European Supercup, and he admits he leaves the Andalusian club with some great memories.
"I will never forget these two years at Sevilla. For me they have been more than two years because of the amount of things that have happened, but if I was to choose one memory it would be my first UEFA Cup, which we won in Glasgow," said Poulsen on www.sevillafc.es.
The former FC Copenhagen and Schalke also admitted, though, that the chance to join Juve was an opportunity not to be missed.
"The life of a footballer is very short and Juventus came with a great offer," he added.
"I have had two great years winning titles (at Sevilla), while the city is superb and I leave many friends here. For me to leave this great club it would have to have been to go to a team with a lot of history."
