Repka antagonised the Gunners before his side's 2-0 defeat at the Axa Arena by seeming to say in a television interview that he intended to intimidate Arsene Wenger's young side.

The former West Ham defender produced several robust challenges before falling victim to a crunching tackle that saw him hobble off with a knee injury and earnt Cesc Fabregas a yellow card.

A late fitness test will determine whether he figures in tonight's Champions League third qualifying round, second-leg clash at the Emirates Stadium but Bilek is desperate for his star defender to play.

"Repka never said that he wanted to play an extremely aggressive game," he said.

"He was asked before the match in a television interview if it will be painful for Tomas Rosicky because he is a former Sparta player.

"The question was whether Rosicky would get a special welcome because he left the club and eventually joined Arsenal.

"Tomas replied that he would be aggressive, but nothing out of the ordinary and that he had no intention of hurting anyone.

"He said he would play his normal aggressive game against all the Arsenal team, not just Rosicky.

"If Repka plays tomorrow then I will be happy because he is our best defender."

Arsenal hold a 2-0 lead heading into the second leg and Bilek, who also hopes to have attacking midfielder Pavel Horvath fit after a hamstring injury, knows his side are playing only for pride.

"We would like to play better than we did in Prague. Arsenal are technically very good," he said.

"We must press them. We must not give them space to work in. We are fit and will try to be quicker and more aggressive than last time.

"We come here with the target of making it more difficult for Arsenal to qualify for the group stage.

"We know it will be difficult and it is uncertain how we'll get on."
