England will be hot favourites to launch their campaign to reach the 2010 finals in South Africa with a resounding victory before the more demanding task against Croatia in Zagreb on Wednesday.

But Rodrigo is mindful of the fact that England failed to break through in the opening 45 minutes of a Euro 2008 qualifier in the same stadium 18 months ago.

The then coach Steve McClaren and the players came in for intense criticism from their own fans before eventually winning 3-0 thanks to two goals from Steven Gerrard.

Rodrigo said: "We are not afraid of England although we have respect. But the superiority of England has to be shown out there on the pitch. They have to go and show they are superior.

"We did well against them for a long time in the last meeting and we hope we can be even more trouble on Saturday.

"Of course, England have 100 weapons to our 10 but England will have all of the pressure on them. There is a great deal of expectation on their shoulders.

"We have to try and start well and hope we can make them very nervous, put pressure on them in the early part of the match.

"We are going to try and have the same match as we did with them 18 months ago but with just the result changing!

"What we have to try and do is keep our intensity and concentration for the full 90 minutes. We have done it beore for 60-70 minutes."

Andorran goalkeeper Koldo Alvarez said: "We admire England but we are not afraid of them and we will fight and do everything we can to frustrate them."
