Fresh from the release of Season 2 of their collaboration with Nike’s Jordan Brand, PSG have followed up by unveiling their new home strip for 2019/20.

The reveal video is notable in that it includes two stars linked with a move away from Paris in Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.

Regardless of who ends up wearing the kit next season, they will be sure to look class with the familiar ‘midnight navy’ carrying over as the kit’s primary colour, whilst white is used for the infamous Swoosh logo on the right breast.

The strip is dominated by a thin vertical red and white band which runs through the middle of the shirt, a visual feature which resembles the traditional ‘Hechter’ design of classic PSG kits.

The ‘Hechter’ design was the creation of former club president and iconic Parisian couturier Daniel Hechter, with the original design incorporating a much thicker red central band than the 2019/20 iteration.

Accor Live Limitless has secured the coveted front-of-shirt sponsorship position, whilst the kit’s accompanying shorts and socks will share the same ‘midnight navy’ shade which appears on the jersey.

Speaking at the reveal of the new strip, star striker Kylian Mbappé explains: “I have always been a huge fan of Nike, and it’s great news that they will be making PSG kits long into the future.”

“The new PSG kit is really beautiful, really classic and it’s nice to see the stripe back on the home shirt. I am sure the fans will be really happy with it."
