Heerenveen midfielder Michael Bradley struck a second-half equaliser to deny Eredivisie leaders PSV Eindhoven a fifth win in succession on Saturday.
PSV had taken the lead after only a minute when Otman Bakkal headed in Balazs Dzsudzsak's cross from the left.
But Heerenveen recovered from a strong first-half showing by PSV, and Bradley's shot after a Gerald Sibon flick-on drew them level seven minutes into the second half.
Feyenoord closed to within nine points of PSV after posting an impressive 3-1 win over De Graafschap.
The home side led through Lasse Schone's strike which threatened to extend Feyenoord's dismal run to one win from eight games.
But Feyenoord came out fired up for the second period and drew level through Roy Makaay's 13th goal of the season before Nicky Hofs' brace gave the Rotterdammers the points.
Rob Penders scored the only goal of the game as NAC Breda moved to joint-second in the Eredivisie, alongside both Heerenveen and Feyenoord, with a home victory against FC Utrecht.
Penders decisive strike came in just the second minute of the match and proved to be enough for the hosts to claim a sixth consecutive league win.
In Saturday's other game, Vitesse Arnhem recovered from last week's 7-0 mauling at the hands of Heerenveen with a hard-fought 2-1 win at home to FC Groningen.
Harrie Gommans gave the home side the lead but Martijn Meerdink equalised in the second half before Remco van der Schaaf came up with the winner for Aad de Mos' side.
On Friday, goals from Eljero Elia and Blaise Nkufo gave FC Twente victory at home to Heracles Almelo.
