PSV Eindhoven have confirmed the signing of Holland captain Mark van Bommel on a one-year contract.
The Holland midfielder, a popular figure at the club following a successful first stint, announced last week that he was leaving AC Milan to return to his former employers.
And they have backed that up tonight, releasing a statement on their official website that read: "Mark van Bommel signed a one-year deal on Monday.
"He previously played in Eindhoven between 1999 and 2005. He was a champion four times."
After initially leaving PSV, Van Bommel headed to Barcelona and then on to Bayern Munich and AC Milan.
He was a league title winner at all of those clubs, with Barcelona in 2006 and Bayern in 2008 and 2010. He also won Serie A with Milan last year.
